Check www.FreeStyleCheck.com to see if your sensors are affected and to get a replacement at no charge. If you have an affected sensor, stop using it and contact Abbott’s Customer Service at 1-833-815-4273.
Why it was recalled
Abbott is correcting certain FreeStyle Libre 3 and Libre 3 Plus glucose monitoring sensors because internal testing found that some sensors may provide incorrect low glucose readings. Incorrect readings over time could lead to treatment errors, such as excessive carbohydrate intake or skipped or delayed insulin doses, posing serious health risks. Abbott has resolved the manufacturing issue and is offering free replacements.
