What we collect
The only personal information Recall Canary collects is your email address, and only if you choose to subscribe to recall alerts. We do not require an account to browse the site. We do not collect names, phone numbers, addresses, or any other identifying information.
How we use your email
We use your email address solely to send you our weekly recall digest — one email each Sunday with the past week of U.S. federal recalls. Every confirmed subscriber receives the same content; there are no per-recipient filters. We do not use your address for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.
What we don't collect
- We do not run advertising networks or third-party tracking pixels.
- We do not build behavioral profiles or track browsing history.
- We do not use analytics services that collect personally identifiable information.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party. Your address is used only to send you the recall alerts you signed up for.
Cookies
Recall Canary does not set first-party cookies for tracking or advertising. Our infrastructure runs on Cloudflare, which may set technical cookies (e.g., for bot detection and security). These are set automatically by the network layer and do not identify you personally.
Email subscriptions
When you subscribe, we send a confirmation email. If you don't confirm within 48 hours, your address is deleted. Active subscribers can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of any alert email, or by emailing hello@recallcanary.com. We process unsubscribe requests promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
