
Magnesium Sulfate in Water for Injection IV Bag
Amneal is recalling Magnesium Sulfate IV bags (NDC 70121-1720-3) due to product mix-up with Tranexamic Acid.
Do not use this product. Contact Amneal Pharmaceuticals immediately if you have received or dispensed affected cartons. Verify the actual contents of any foil pouch labeled Magnesium Sulfate before administration.
Why it was recalled
Amneal Pharmaceuticals is recalling Magnesium Sulfate in Water for Injection, 4g/100 mL (40mg/mL) IV bags, NDC 70121-1720-3, due to product mix-up: some foil pouches labeled as Magnesium Sulfate actually contained Tranexamic Acid instead. The affected product is packaged in cartons of 12 × 100 mL IV bags and was distributed nationwide.
