Check the expiration date on the front of the packaging. If your package has an expiration date from November 2028 through May 2029 and does not list milk or sodium caseinate in the ingredients, do not consume it. Return it to the place of purchase for a refund or contact Yusol International Foods for further instructions.
Why it was recalled
Faysu Inc., dba Yusol International Foods, is voluntarily recalling Ola-Ola Pounded Yam because it may contain undeclared milk in the form of sodium caseinate, posing a serious risk to people with milk allergies. The recall affects packages with expiration dates from November 2028 through May 2029 that do not list the dairy allergen. No illnesses have been reported.
