Bada Boom Fireworks, of Blakeslee, Pennsylvania, is recalling its Pyro Diablo "Diablo Rising" 9 Shots fireworks, model PD-C5001, because the pyrotechnic composition exceeds the federal limit for aerial fireworks devices intended to produce audible effects, violating the fireworks ban and posing deadly explosion and burn hazards. Overloaded fireworks can result in a greater than expected explosion.

No incidents have been reported. The recall involves about 1,060 units, imported from China and sold at Bada Boom Fireworks locations in Pennsylvania from March 2026 through May 2026 for about $45.

The recalled product's packaging displays an orange dragon on a blue and purple background, with the brand name, product name, item number, and warning labels on the top and front of the package. The CPSC announced the recall on June 18, 2026.

Consumers should stop using the recalled fireworks devices immediately and contact Bada Boom Fireworks for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to return the fireworks device to Bada Boom Fireworks retail locations.
