Hisense recalls Babysense Max View Baby Monitor display unit (VBM55RX) over fire hazard when charging; use HHW collection for disposal.
Stop using the recalled display unit immediately. Do not throw it in the trash, curbside recycling, or battery recycling boxes. Contact your municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center ahead of time to confirm it accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries, then arrange proper disposal. If your HHW center does not accept it, contact your municipality for guidance.
Why it was recalled
The display or "parent" unit of the Max View baby monitors can overheat and/or spark when charging, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Where it was sold
Online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and babylist.com from January 2023 through December 2025 for between $90 and $180.
