Trek and Electra Electric Bicycle Rear Bolts
Trek and Electra electric bicycles are recalled due to a fall hazard caused by rear wheel bolts that can break.
Immediately stop using the recalled electric bicycles and contact an authorized Trek retailer to schedule a free repair to have the rear wheel bolts replaced.

Why it was recalled
The rear wheel bolts on certain Trek and Electra electric bicycles can break when torqued, which may cause the rear wheel to separate from the frame and pose a fall hazard. This recall includes model year 2026 Trek FX+ 1 Midstep, FX+ 1S Midstep, FX+ 1 Stepover, and FX+ 1S Stepover, as well as Electra Townie Go! Step Thru and Townie Go! S Step Thru electric bicycles sold nationwide. The affected bicycles were sold before October 28, 2025.
