Trek and Electra Electric Bicycle Rear Wheel Bolts
Hyena is recalling rear wheel bolts on 2026 Trek FX+ and Electra Townie Go! e-bikes sold before October 2025 due to fall hazard from wheel separation.
What to do
Stop riding the bicycle immediately. Contact Trek or Electra for a free replacement rear wheel bolt kit. Do not use the bicycle until the bolts have been replaced.
Why it was recalled
The rear wheel bolts can break when torqued, causing the wheel to separate from the bicycle, posing a fall hazard.
Where it was sold
Trek stores and Trek authorized retailers nationwide and online from April 2025 through October 2025 for about $2,100.
