Jobon Torch Lighters

Jobon torch lighters are recalled for lacking child-resistant mechanisms, posing fire and burn hazards to users.

What to do

Immediately stop using the recalled lighters and keep them out of reach of children. To participate in the recall, destroy the lighters by cutting the ignition trigger in half and email a photo of the destroyed product to the company for a full refund.

Why it was recalled

Jobon butane torch lighters are being recalled because they lack required child-resistant mechanisms, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire and burn hazards. The lighters also failed to meet mandatory pre-market safety submission requirements. Affected lighters feature a side ignition trigger and hands-free operation lock, and were sold in gray/brown, gold/black, and camouflage print with "JOBON" printed on the side.
