What happened
Shenzhen Bopu Product Design Co., Ltd., dba POPOOO, is recalling POPOOO Jungle Safari LED Finger Lights because the button cell batteries can be easily accessed by children, violating the mandatory safety standard for toys. Swallowing button cell or coin batteries can cause serious injuries, including internal chemical burns, and death. No incidents have been reported. The recall was announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on July 2, 2026.
The recalled finger lights were sold in sets of 24 multi-colored lights with white fingertip covers, each containing three internal button cell batteries that power projections of jungle safari characters. "POPOOO" and "LED FINGER LIGHTS" are printed on the blue packaging. They were sold on Amazon.com from December 2024 through March 2026 for about $13. The product was made in China.
Consumers should stop using the recalled finger lights immediately and take them away from children. POPOOO is offering a full refund. Button cell batteries are hazardous and should be disposed of or recycled by following local hazardous waste procedures.
