Rowenta Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Batteries

Rowenta is recalling cordless vacuum batteries that can overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards.

What to do

Immediately stop using the recalled batteries. Remove the battery from the vacuum cleaner and contact Rowenta for a free replacement battery. To receive the replacement, you must cut the power cord of the recalled battery in half and email a photo of the cut cord to the company.

Why it was recalled

The lithium-ion battery housed in the handle of these cordless vacuum cleaners can overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards. The recall includes X-Force Flex 14.60 Animal (model RH99A2U1) and X-Force Flex 15.60 Animal (model RH99F2U1) vacuums, as well as standalone batteries (model ZR0097U2) with date codes starting with 23 or 24.
