CPSC recall,

Vevor BMX Bicycles

Vevor BMX Bicycles lack a chain guard, posing a risk of serious injury or deadly crash.

What happened

Sanven Technology Ltd., of Rancho Cucamonga, California, is recalling Vevor BMX Bicycles because the bicycles violate the mandatory safety regulation for bicycles, as they are not equipped with a chain guard. Loose clothing can get entrapped in the chain drive, posing a risk of serious injury or deadly crash hazard. The bicycles also do not comply with the labeling requirements. No incidents have been reported.

The recalled bicycles are Vevor-branded 20-inch and 24-inch BMX bikes, models SS24001 and SS24002, sold in black with the Vevor logo printed across the downtube of the frame. The model numbers are printed on the product packaging. The bicycles were sold at Vevorstores nationwide and online at vevor.com from October 2024 through April 2026 for between $152 and $188.

Consumers should stop using the BMX bicycles immediately and contact Sanven Technology for a free repair kit. The company will ship free chain guards with detailed installation tutorials and provide after-sales support to help solve any issues during self-installation.
