Why it was recalled
MedPride Baby Oil is being recalled because the packaging is not child-resistant, violating the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The product contains low-viscosity hydrocarbons that pose a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if swallowed, as well as a risk of chemical pneumonia or pulmonary damage if the oil enters the lungs.
Where it was sold
Various discount and medical supply stores primarily in the New York tri-state area, such as 1$ Zone and Yong Tai Discount and online at Amazon.com by HL Medical from November 2025 through March 2026 for about $8.
