What happened
ShymeryDirect, of China, is recalling its ShymeryDirect LED lights because the lights contain lithium coin batteries that can be accessed easily by children, posing an ingestion hazard. The recalled lights also do not have the warnings required by Reese's Law. No incidents have been reported. The recall was announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on April 9, 2026.
The recalled LED lights emit a warm white light and each of the 24 lights includes two CR2032 lithium coin batteries. The lights measure about 1 inch in diameter and are clearly marked with the code X0037GYJYX on their packaging. They were sold online at Amazon.com from January 2026 through March 2026 for about $23. The products were made in China.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled LED lights and place them in an area where children cannot access them. Consumers will be asked to disassemble and submerge all components in water. The remedy offered is a refund.
