What happened
Thrasio, LLC, of Boston, Massachusetts, is recalling Angry Orange Enzyme Stain Removers because the products can contain bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an environmental organism found widely in soil and water.
People with weakened immune systems, external medical devices, or underlying lung conditions who are exposed to Pseudomonas aeruginosa face a risk of serious infection that may require medical treatment. No incidents have been reported. The recall involves about 1,500,000 units in the United States and about 43,700 sold in Canada.
The recalled products were sold at Walmart, Target, The Home Depot, Meijer, Staples, TJ Maxx and other major retailers nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target.com, AngryOrange.com and Chewy.com from March 2019 through December 2025 for between $4 and $60. The products include Fresh Clean Scent and Orange Twist Scent in 24-oz, 32-oz and 1-gallon sizes.
The bottles are orange and white and have "Angry Orange" and "Stain & Odor Remover" written on the front. Some units were sold as a bundle with a UV light that attaches to the spray bottle.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact Thrasio for a full refund. Consumers should then dispose of the product in its container with household trash, without emptying the product or attempting to recycle the bottle.
