Why it was recalled
Cardinal Health is recalling select lots of Webcol Large Alcohol Prep Pads (70% isopropyl alcohol) due to microbial contamination with Paenibacillus phoenicis. Use of the contaminated pads may cause local and systemic infections, especially in at-risk patients such as those with impaired immune response, including cancer patients on chemotherapy or those with poorly controlled diabetes.
