What happened
Frankie's Organic, based in Laval, Canada, recalled 94 cases of Frankie's Organic Plant-Based Puffs Vegan Cheddar, NET WT. 4 oz. (113 g), packaged in flexible plastic bags, because the product tested positive for undeclared milk. People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The company began the recall on August 5, 2026, and announced it on August 11, 2026.
The product was distributed in Florida, Georgia, Oregon, South Carolina, and Washington, including at PCC Markets in WA, Earth Fare Stores in FL and SC, and select independent retailers in these regions. Frankie's Organic is working with three distribution centers in GA and OR to remove any remaining inventory from distribution.
