What happened
Gear Isle is voluntarily recalling chocolate products sold nationwide via internet sales because they contain undeclared active pharmaceutical ingredients sildenafil and tadalafil. The products are Gold Lion Aphrodisiac Chocolate Sachet and ilum Sex Chocolate.
Use of these products may pose a threat because the active ingredients may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin, and may cause a significant drop in blood pressure that may be life-threatening. Adult males who use nitrates for cardiac conditions are most at risk. Gear Isle has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.
The company announced the recall on March 19, 2026, and is notifying customers by letter, arranging for returns and refunds. Consumers who have the products should stop using them and return them for a refund.
