Gusto Group recalls Klong Kone Shrimp Paste (454g & 910g) due to elevated lead levels.
What to do
Do not consume the recalled shrimp paste. Return it to the place of purchase for a refund, or contact Gusto Group Inc. at (862) 264-6774 or ings@gustofood.com for further instructions.
Why it was recalled
Short-term exposure to very low levels of lead may not cause symptoms, but increased blood lead levels may be the only apparent sign. Chronic exposure can cause permanent damage to the central nervous system in children.
