Why it was recalled
Island Kinetics, Inc. d.b.a. CoValence Laboratories is recalling three hydrocortisone 1% products — Remedy Gel (30 mL), Skin Rehab Calming Skin Gel (0.53 oz), and Essential Calming Skin Gel (120 mL) — because they are subpotent. Subpotent hydrocortisone may fail to treat inflammation or allergic reactions as expected.
