Octopus Nuvo Tissue Stabilizer
Medtronic is recalling Octopus Nuvo Tissue Stabilizer (TSMICS1) due to incorrect tubing assembly that may affect surgical tissue stabilization.
Stop using the affected Octopus Nuvo Tissue Stabilizer units immediately. Contact Medtronic Perfusion Systems for instructions on product return or replacement. Verify the Product Number TSMICS1 on your device.
Why it was recalled
During the manufacturing, Medtronic personnel identified an assembly issue where the tubing was incorrectly positioned. The short tube was attached to the bottom of the canister, and the long tube was attached to the top, contrary to the intended design.
