VistaPharm recalls Kerr Insta-Char activated charcoal (25g/50g) for failing OTC monograph requirements.
Consumers should stop using the recalled activated charcoal products and return them to the place of purchase or contact VistaPharm for a refund or replacement. Do not use the product if you have it.
Why it was recalled
VistaPharm is recalling Kerr Insta-Char activated charcoal products in aqueous and sorbitol bases with cherry flavor, in 25-gram and 50-gram strengths, because they do not meet the OTC Monograph M023. The affected products may not provide the expected therapeutic effect.
