restor3d Veritas Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement

The Veritas Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement can dislocate, reduce range of motion, or lead to revision surgery.

What happened

restor3d Inc., of Durham, North Carolina, is voluntarily recalling the Veritas Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement, size 1-2, 40mm Polymer Liner. The FDA reported that pairing shoulder implant stem sizes 1 and 2 with the largest glenosphere diameter (40 mm) creates an excessive mechanical loading configuration in which certain polyethylene components lack adequate retention strength, potentially resulting in dislocation, reduced range of motion, or revision surgery.

The firm initiated the recall on October 1, 2026, and the FDA added it to the Enforcement Report on November 3, 2026. The product was distributed in Texas, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Florida, Colorado, and North Carolina, and customers were notified by e-mail.
