If you have a 12-oz vacuum package of Royale Natural Applewood Smoked All Natural Uncured Bacon with sell by dates SEP 01 2026 or SEP 07 2026, or Top Valu Uncured Hardwood Smoked Bacon with sell by dates SEP 01 2026, SEP 02 2026, SEP 04 2026, SEP 05 2026, or SEP 07 2026, and bearing EST. 1, do not eat it. Discard the product or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
Why it was recalled
Maple Leaf Foods is recalling approximately 12,036 pounds of not ready-to-eat (NRTE) smoked bacon products imported from Canada without import reinspection. The affected products are Royale Natural Applewood Smoked All Natural Uncured Bacon (12 oz, sell by dates SEP 01 2026 and SEP 07 2026) and Top Valu Uncured Hardwood Smoked Bacon (12 oz, sell by dates SEP 01 2026, SEP 02 2026, SEP 04 2026, SEP 05 2026, and SEP 07 2026). Both bear Canadian establishment number EST. 1.
