What happened
Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC) is recalling certain 2026 RM500 and RM700 trailers because the wireless handheld remote control may be incompatible with some legacy winches, resulting in unexpected winch movements. A winch that operates unintentionally may increase the risk of injury.
The recall affects 2 vehicles and was reported to NHTSA on July 22, 2026. The trailers were distributed nationwide. ATC will replace the wireless remote or provide a refund, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 7, 2026.
