BMW Engine Starter Relay
BMW is recalling certain 530e, 740Le, and 330e iPerformance vehicles due to an engine starter relay that may corrode and cause a fire.
Park the vehicle outside and away from structures until the remedy is performed. Contact a BMW dealer to schedule a free repair.
Why it was recalled
BMW is recalling certain 2018-2020 530e xDrive, 2017-2019 740Le xDrive, 2018-2020 530e iPerformance, and 2016-2018 330e iPerformance vehicles distributed nationwide. The engine starter relay may corrode, which can cause the relay to overheat and short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.
