NHTSA recall,

Chrysler MOPAR Tail Light Assemblies

MOPAR tail lights may fail due to damaged wiring harness terminals, reducing visibility and increasing crash risk.

What happened

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain MOPAR tail light assemblies. The terminals in the tail light wiring harness may be damaged and cause the tail lights to fail, which fails to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108. Tail lights that fail to illuminate properly reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will inspect and replace the tail light assemblies, as necessary, free of charge, and will repurchase uninstalled tail light assemblies.
