Why it was recalled
Daimler Trucks North America is recalling certain 2027 Thomas Built SAF-T-LINER HDX2 school buses because the front and mid-body interior joints may have been manufactured with insufficient strength. These vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 221 regarding school bus body joint strength, which may increase the risk of passenger injury during a crash. This recall was distributed nationwide.
