What happened
Denago EV Corporation is recalling certain 2024-2025 Nomad, 2024-2026 Nomad XL, 2026 Scout 2, 2026 Scout 4, 2024-2026 Rover XL, 2024-2026 Rover XXL, and 2024-2026 Rover XL6 vehicles. The vehicles may fail to make pedestrian warning sounds when in motion, failing to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 141, "Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles."
A vehicle that does not emit sound may fail to alert pedestrians of a moving vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. The recall affects 34,136 vehicles nationwide.
The issue was reported to NHTSA on June 10, 2026. Dealers will provide an acoustic vehicle alerting system remedy kit, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 5, 2026.
