What happened

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 10.1-inch center stack screens installed in 2024-2026 Ranger vehicles during service. The screen may lose power and fail to display the rearview camera image, which reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle and increases the risk of a crash. These vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility." The recall was reported to NHTSA on September 22, 2026, and affects 46 units nationwide.

The remedy is currently under development. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed October 7, 2026. Additional letters will be sent when the remedy is available.
