Fifth wheel travel trailers have a ramp door that may break away from the frame during use, increasing injury risk.

What happened
Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2023-2026 Forest River Work and Play, 2024-2026 East to West Takoda, Coachmen Chaparral, 2025-2026 Shasta Phoenix, 2023-2025 Forest River Riverstone, 2022-2026 Coachmen Adrenaline, and 2025 Forest River Cedar Creek fifth wheel travel trailers. The ramp door may break away from the door frame while loading or unloading vehicles. A ramp door that breaks during use increases the risk of injury. The recall affects 515 vehicles nationwide.
The recall was reported to NHTSA on January 19, 2026. Owner notification letters were mailed February 18, 2026. Dealers will install additional support brackets, free of charge.
