What happened
Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River) is recalling certain transit buses, including the Forest River Bus Senator II from model years 2026 through 2027. The steering caster bushing may have been improperly tightened, allowing the bolt to come loose. A loose caster bolt can cause a loss of steering ability, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall affects 490 vehicles nationwide. The issue was reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on October 23, 2026. Dealers will inspect and properly tighten the bolt as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 21, 2026.
