What happened

Greenpower Motor Company Inc. is recalling certain 2020-2024 Nano Beast and 2021-2024 Beast school buses. The Cross View Mirror is designed to only view pedestrians around stopped buses, and the label warning drivers not to use the mirror to view vehicular traffic may be missing.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, 'Rear Visibility.' Without a warning label, the driver may use the altered view to see other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall was reported to NHTSA on April 6, 2026, and affects 98 vehicles nationwide. Greenpower will inspect and install the label as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 4, 2026.
