Honda and Acura Passenger Seat Weight Sensor
Honda and Acura are recalling various vehicles due to a faulty passenger seat weight sensor that may cause unintended air bag deployment.
Owners will be notified by mail and should contact an authorized Honda or Acura dealer to have the front passenger seat weight sensor replaced free of charge.
Why it was recalled
The front passenger seat weight sensor in certain Honda and Acura vehicles may crack and short circuit. This defect can cause the air bags to deploy unintentionally during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
