Why it was recalled
Hyundai is recalling certain 2026 Hyundai Palisade and Palisade Hybrid vehicles equipped with Limited and Calligraphy trim packages. Internal wiring in the third-row driver-side seat belt buckle may become damaged, causing the instrument panel to permanently display the seat belt as fastened even when unfastened, preventing occupants from receiving an alert to buckle up.
