What happened
International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2026-2027 IC Bus EVSB school buses. The mounting bracket bolts may have been improperly tightened, allowing the drive motor to detach. A detach drive motor can become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. The recall affects 125 vehicles nationwide.
The issue was reported to NHTSA on May 28, 2026. Owner notification letters were mailed June 22, 2026. Dealers will tighten or replace the drive mounting bolts as necessary, free of charge.
