What happened

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2026 Heartland Cyclone travel trailers and Cyclone fifth wheel trailers. The inverter may have been installed without a grounding connection. The electrical system may overheat without a ground, increasing the risk of a fire. There is also an increased risk of injury from electrical shock. The recall affects 182 vehicles nationwide.

The problem was reported to NHTSA on July 2, 2026. Dealers will install a ground wire, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 10, 2026.
