Why it was recalled

Kia is recalling certain 2025 K4, 2025–2026 Sorento (including Hybrid and PHEV), 2026 Sportage (including Hybrid and PHEV), K5, EV9, and Carnival (including Hybrid) vehicles due to a software error that may cause the instrument panel display to fail. A failed display prevents the driver from seeing critical safety information such as the speedometer, tire pressure warnings, and warning lights, increasing crash risk.
