Kia Telluride Driver Seat Belt Retractor
Kia is recalling 2027 Telluride and Telluride Hybrid vehicles because the driver seat belt may fail to extend, increasing injury risk.
Owners should contact a Kia dealer to have the driver seat belt assembly inspected and replaced if necessary, free of charge. For more information, contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542 or visit the NHTSA website and reference campaign number 26V356000.
Why it was recalled
Kia is recalling certain 2027 Telluride and Telluride Hybrid vehicles because the driver seat belt emergency locking retractor may lock, preventing the seat belt strap from extending. This failure to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 209 may prevent the seat belt from properly restraining an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
