Land Rover Range Rover Seat Belt Warning System
Land Rover is recalling 2026 Range Rover, Velar, and Sport vehicles (NHTSA 26V297000) because the seat belt chime may not activate.
Owners should contact a Land Rover dealer to have the seat belt warning system software updated free of charge.
Why it was recalled
Jaguar Land Rover is recalling certain 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover vehicles. The seat belt warning system may fail to activate the audible chime as required by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, which can increase the risk of injury during a crash. The NHTSA campaign number for this recall is 26V297000.
