What happened

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2023-2025 G5 transit buses built on a GM chassis and equipped with a second air conditioning compressor kit. The drive belt pulley may contact and damage the oil lines. A damaged oil line may leak, increasing the risk of a fire in the presence of an ignition source. The recall affects 30 vehicles nationwide.

The recall was reported to NHTSA on May 6, 2026. Dealers will secure the oil lines, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 29, 2026.
