Newmar Corporation is recalling certain 2026 Freedom Aire motorhomes because the hydronic heating system wiring may be incorrectly connected to constant 12V power, which can cause the hydronic heating system to unintentionally activate. Unintended activation of the hydronic heating system can produce harmful gas, increasing the risk of injury. The recall affects 32 vehicles nationwide.

The issue was reported to NHTSA on February 24, 2026. Dealers will repair the wiring and disconnect the hydronic heating system from constant 12V power, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 20, 2026.
