Why it was recalled

A defective coolant sensor in certain Nova Bus LFS Artic and LFS buses can send a false signal, causing the engine to shut down unexpectedly. An unexpected engine shutdown can increase the risk of a crash, and transferring passengers from the disabled bus can increase the risk of injury.
