What happened
Rockford Corporation is recalling certain Rockford Fosgate amplifier kits, including the 20GLADR-STG5, 24WRNGLR-FOX, 24WRNGLER-STG3, and 18WRNGLER-STG5 models. The 150-amp fuse may not provide adequate circuit protection in the event of a short circuit in the amplifier, and inadequate protection may increase the risk of a fire. The recall was reported to NHTSA on June 23, 2026, and affects 1,209 units nationwide.
Rockford will provide instructions and a replacement fuse, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed July 31, 2026.
