Setra S417 and S407 Dashboard Switch Illumination
Daimler Coaches is recalling 2009–2020 Setra S417 and 2012–2019 S407 buses due to dashboard switch illumination failures that may distract drivers.
What to do
Contact Daimler Coaches North America to schedule service to repair or replace the affected switches. Do not operate the vehicle if switches are too dim or too bright and distract you from safe driving.
Why it was recalled
The driver may be distracted by switches that are too bright or by searching for switches that are too dim or not illuminated, increasing the risk of a crash.
