Why it was recalled

Toyota is recalling certain 2023–2025 Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles that may fail to produce sufficient pedestrian warning sounds when in reverse, increasing the risk of injury to pedestrians. The vehicles do not comply with FMVSS 141 minimum sound requirements for hybrid and electric vehicles.
