ABC Trading Toy Headbands and Electronic Pet Cages

ABC Trading Inc., of Vernon, California, is recalling children's toys because they contain button cell batteries in compartments that can be easily accessed by children, posing a deadly ingestion hazard.

The recall includes toy headbands, model 6300RP, which are plastic with a pink bow with white polka dots and a push button on top to activate lights, and electronic pet cages, including the dinosaur toy, model 8266 (ZH998-22), a silver plastic cage with a blue bottom containing a red dinosaur and a yellow egg, and the bird toy, model ZH998-23, a plastic cage with a pink top and bottom containing a blue bird.

The toys violate the mandatory standard for toys. No incidents have been reported. The toys were made in China and sold at TOYZ and Joissu Product stores nationwide from November 2022 through October 2025 for between $5 and $9.

When swallowed, the button cell and coin batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death. The recall was announced by the CPSC on May 21, 2026. Consumers should stop using the toys immediately and contact ABC Trading for a refund.
