Why it was recalled

The battery compartment of these light-up rings can be easily opened, allowing children access to button cell batteries. Ingestion of these batteries can lead to serious internal chemical burns or death. The affected model is SJP-50, with production code SDJRJJZ0813 printed on the packaging.
