Why it was recalled

The heating element in these units can remain energized during a ground fault even when turned off, posing a risk of fire or burn injury. The recall includes Through the Wall (TTW) heat pumps and air conditioners, as well as Window-Room-Air-Conditioners (WRAC), distributed nationwide. Affected models begin with PB, AH, or AE.
