What happened

Diamond Wipes International, Inc. is recalling MD Wipe Outz Numbing Tattoo Wipes because the packaging is not child-resistant, violating the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The wipes contain lidocaine, and if ingested by young children, the contents pose a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning. The recall was announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on August 27, 2026. No incidents have been reported. About 55,250 units are affected.

The pain-relieving wipes were sold in individually wrapped 3 x 4 inches foil packets in boxes of 5, 10, 25, and 250. The Wipe Outz logo, “NUMB” and “Lidocaine Infused” is printed on the front of the packet. The wipes were manufactured in the United States and distributed by MD Wipe Outz, of Thousand Oaks, California.

They were sold online at Amazon.com from September 2025 through June 2026 and at Shopify.com from September 2025 through May 2026 for between about $7.50 for a 5-pack and $225 for a 250-pack.

Consumers should secure the wipes out of sight and reach of children immediately and contact Diamond Wipes for a full refund. Consumers should then dispose of the packets.
