What happened
DrHealBeauty, of Japan, is recalling Tuymec Minoxidil Hair Growth Kits, 5% Minoxidil with Biotin Spray, sold on Amazon.com, because the hair serum's packaging is not child-resistant, violating the Poison Prevention Packaging Act and posing a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on April 2, 2026, with no incidents reported.
The recalled kits contain two black spray bottles with labels reading "Tuymec Minoxidil Hair Hair Growth", "Advanced Formula" and "5% Minoxidil with BIOTIN". They come in black cartons with white and silver lettering, including "Drug Facts" on the back, distributor information on one side, and three icons making product claims on the other. The kits were sold for about $24 from June 2025 through August 2025 and were made in China.
Consumers should secure the recalled serum bottles out of sight and reach of children immediately and contact DrHealBeauty for a free empty replacement bottle with a child-resistant closure into which consumers should transfer the recalled bottle's contents.
